Hi folks,

Problem: User is on a comcast cable IP connection.
        Running Outlook Express
When they send an email via our server the message
gets tagged by SA as spam, via a RBL lookup
User is using SMTP-AUTH to connect to our server.

I thought that by using SMTP-AUTH we would "bypass" the RBL spam checks.  I can send via my laptop from pretty much anywhere without problem, but I use ThunderBird.

Any pointers on where to go look to correct the issue ??

thanks

matt

There are two places where RBL can be looked up. The one that SMTP-AUTH bypasses is the SMTP connect phase lookup. If you are using SpamAssassin, then it too with check several RBLs to determine if the email is spam or ham.  If you don't like it's choices, adjust it. SpamAssassin is VERY well documented.
