Greetings and Salutations!

I have just setup an  new qmail toaster.  It's working great with one exception.  When users using an IMAP client such as Thunderbird or even Outlook or Outlook Express attempt to read any email messages, they are able to see the message header, but not the actual message content.  This problem usually occurs only to mail messages that are not in the default IMAP folders (inbox, sent, trash, and drafts).

Messages in the inbox are always readable, the others are iffy at best.

I have verified the the users are properly subscribed to all "sub-folders", and the permissions appear to be correct.  The messages, when viewed from the web based IMAP clients such as "sqwebmail" and "squirrelmail" appear normally.  No problems what so ever.  The problems only occur with IMAP mail clients.

I have told the IMAP users to use the web-based system to read and send messages, but this is becoming a real problem.  My users want to use thier "Thunderbird".

Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.  I am completely stumpped on this issue, and have spent entierly too much time tring to fix it.

Thanks in advance for your assistance in this matter.

I would verify that your number of IMAPD connections is sufficient in your imap config files -- thunderbird by default can use as many as 5 connections per account, if you have a number of users, you could quickly exhaust the default, which I believe is 40 or 50.
