I know this has been addressed before in the forums but the solutions given don't seem to apply to this situation and I'm hoping someone will have an idea

Clean install of FreeBSD 5.2 with the lastest ports dated July 30th and Perl 5.8.5 - toaster 3.42

Install went smoothly, my email domain setup went smoothly but now, every XXX number of days my logs start filling up with the messages below:

@40000000411548b61e24b684 status: local 2/10 remote 0/255
@40000000411548b61e24f11c delivery 5: deferral: Unable_to_chdir_to_maildir._(#4.2.1)/

Nothing changes on the box during this time.  All permissions seem to be correct.  The only way I've found to resolve the issue is move my domain directory in vpopmail, vdeldomain, vadddomain, move back the domain structure then things start delivering again until another couple days go by

There any switches I can activate to see what directory it's actually trying to deliver to?

It seems to happen after midnight which is when the freebsd log rotates kick in.  I wouldn't think a log rotate would cause this but at this point I'm open to any suggestions / thoughts..

Are you using vpopmail 5.4.3?   If so, upgrade to 5.4.5.

sure enough...

I'll upgrade and let you know if that resolves it...
