Title: Migrating Toaster
Post by: noratx on April 11, 2008, 07:27:48 AM
I have a toaster maching that is really unstable and kraching all the time due to harddisk failures.
now i am setting up a new toaster mashine.

Can anybody tell me the easyest way to migrate my old toaster to the new mashine, with all users and mails.
Thank you!

you have a couple ways to go about it. If the disk is still mostly usable, do a fresh install of the same version of FreeBSD and then copy over /usr/local and /var/qmail to the new server.

The other method is poke around in the contrib directory of a recent release of Mail Toaster. Look for a script that looks like migrate.pl.
