Title: No SMTP connection until domain created
Post by: Nick Cockinos on August 08, 2007, 06:50:43 PM
Hi Toasters,
I noticed the other day when we created a new server that nothing would start until we had a domain created.

Can anyone shed some light on why that happens. It may be related to a previous post of mine about "No SMTP Connections". I say that because one of the problems is that when we've been experincing problems and have tried to connect to the server through vqadmin to check on a domain we get the error message saying that the domain doesn't exist. When we stop and strat services, vqadmin finds the domain and everything returnsto normal.

Could it be a MySQL problem or is it more likely to be a problem with vpopmail somewhere.

Look in  you log files. The error is self explantory.
