Title: old toaster TLS cert issue
Post by: Kiehlster on February 01, 2006, 01:03:48 PM
Just a few days ago we made a new cert for our old qmail toaster (v 1.7) and now whenever our other toasters try to send mail to it, they deffer with the error " TLS_connect_failed:_error:1408F10B:SSL_routines:SSL3_GET_REC ORD:wrong_version_number "

It sounds like it's some kind of openssl version or cipher issue.  Was there suppose to be some correct procedure in v 1.7 to renew the cert? We just did a 'make cert' on the original qmail source on that server.  Is there a better or newer way to do this?  Is this just a matter of an old version of openssl?

I'd like to be able to recover this old toaster without having to rebuild it.  Preferably by simply replacing the cert with one that works.

Thanks!
