Title: Fighting spam
Post by: mikeyg on June 21, 2004, 09:18:19 PM
What is the best combination of tools in the toaster to fight spam like DCC, Razor, Pyzor, Bogofilter and Spamassassin?  Is it best to use all?
Title: RBL at SMTP

Without a doubt RBLs are the king for me. RBLs outdo Spamassassin at about 5:1 right now. Im running xbl-sbl.spamhaus.org, DSBL, & ORDB currently. xbl-sbl gets the huge majority, a few thousand per hour, while DSBL has maybe a few hundred, and ORDB hitting cleanup with a hundred or so.

Spamassassin is still great, but for the effort:return DNS RBLs are where its at. I think Ill try greylisting next with a test domain and see how that works.
