Title: Mail Log Errors
Post by: atoyf on March 22, 2004, 03:42:58 PM
@40000000405f6b2e08ebce4c delivery 764: deferral: Connected_to_204.127.202.27_but_greeting_failed./Remote_host_said:_450_too_frequent_connects_from_24.5.44.49,_please_try_again_later./

Any ideas how to fix it may be?

24.5.44.49 is my dynamic IP from comcast.

Any pointers would be great. I've never had this problem before.

Thanks

Maybe a previous inhabitant of your Spamcast dynamic IP abused it?

Have you had that IP long? Or did your DHCP lease renew recently?

I believe a lot of ISPs block Spamcast's IP ranges due to their lax enforcement.

you know what man, whatever it is i believe most of my problems come from having a dynamic IP.

i had this IP for a loooooong time.
Although, the problem may be coming from that i had 100 queues in my queues and qmail tried to send all them at the same time and also on my other machine outlook tried to send/receive email every 5 mins... i don't know i gotta get a static IP....

also after i removed smtproutes the problem went away... seems like... not 100% sure...

Thankyou
